Misrepresentation of the Amazigh Lifestyle and People.

For many years before during and after the occupation of North Africa by the occupiers, the lifestyle and the people of North Africa were subject to many misrepresentations first in the Arab world and in the Western Media .From cinema to posters, from magazines to books , from fashion to art including music and theater.

There were always heavy discussions in campuses throughout Europe and America where many Berber scholars and organizers alike had to rally and educate the public and academics alike of the unknown facts of North African Berber life and people and explain why and how the media and the colonizers of Africa have twisted, changed, continue to this modern day to deny and not recognize the wealth ,the values ,the rich elements that makes this unique and ancient culture. Despite all this North African Berber Culture ( Also Called Tamazight) still exist to this day ( thanks to it’s pioneers ) thriving among the wonders of the ancient civilizations. If you understand the history of Carthage Circa , Gibraltar you will come to appreciate this culture of the North African Berber People. There is an overwhelming evidence that the Berber culture played a significant role in shaping the outcome of the African History during the times of theses great dynasties .There is no doubt that the outcome of both (Kahina’s battle and Gibraltar push to the Alps ) could have changed the course of History and Europe forever. The little pieces of evidence can still be traced to this day ( thanks to the Internet ) and you can see for yourselves in this site’s gallery pf pictures that we have compiled .For example : the pieces of the Berber Jewelries used to and still carry the letters of the Tifinagh and used to serve in passing the meanings of the culture from one generation to another since the invaders and the colonizers almost destroyed everything. In the remote places of North Africa were the natives still speak and know the only culture they have known you can still find an amazing wealth of Art, Books, tapestries jewelries, stories etc… Of Course one can say these days that the schedules for shootings in the Pyramids and in Machu Pichu are taking central stages . Recently there were some excavations in Egypt done by some western scholars with the local leaders and the findings were astonishing .They concluded that the findings were of some unknown tribes traveling from Africa that perished in the sand storms. Despite the recognition of the Tifinagh writings that was so visible, how come there are some unknown civilized tribes? Of course anything that does not “ Egypt” or accepted by Egypt and their team is unknown .Again the Arabs in Egypt have always manipulated what’s right and what’s wrong and continue to this day not to recognize the non Arabic speakers in North Africa , Calling them the “French ,the Spaniard etc...This is quite an interesting stuff since it’s coming from Alexandria (a city that houses one of the biggest libraries if not the most important one in the world )

When one think of the numbers of Berber Queens and Kings in North Africa that have rejected the invaders by raging wars and burning their entire cities instead of a submission way before Cleopatra ( committed s suicide ) symbolically when she followed their footsteps, one has to wonder if the powerful messages the screens have repeatedly affected many generations is gonna fade away or not. If the images of Circa , Timgad Tlemcen , Hippone and Carthage in Tunisia and so fourth are going to be all over the internet to bring us some hidden knowledge of the past the , the screens have a lot catching up to do . It’s already happening in many fields.
